Five Link Friday: Too Dangerous to Live

GMTable: Traps and Minions Revisited

Robert covers the ideas and mechanics behind adding more numbers to your encounters without adding hours to how long they take to run. The Metropolitan Man

What if Lex Luthor isn’t evil but is instead concerned about the existential threat a super being poses to the future of the human species? Superman is too powerful to be allowed to live.

Dungeon of Signs: Fallen Empire and Rules of Setting Creation

A long post about his fallen empire setting, but my main take-away was how the mechanics of your world shape its narrative. I went and wrote up a wandering monster chart for the explored hexes of my world right after I read this.

Future of Freedom Foundation: The Great Sugar Robbery Continues

Ever wonder why the USA is so rife with high-fructose corn syrup? Well, the big sugar farmers are getting a pretty sweet deal to make sure it stays that way and have been since the early 1900’s. A nice combination of foreign sugar quotas and massive sugar subsidies to domestic producers is rent-seeking at its finest.

Status 451: What is NeoReaction

Mr. Clarkhat of former Popehat fame has a piece that excellently describes a view adjacent to my own views on the efficacy of democracy. If that is the way he describes neo-reaction, then count me as one. Based on what some other people who claim the label and attach other meanings to it? I wouldn’t though, so, semantics.

  1. I truly love your website.. Great colors & theme.
Did you create this web site yourself? Please reply back as I’m planning to create my own personal
blog and want to learn where you got this from or exactly what the theme is named.
    Thank you!

    1. The theme I use is part of the HB Themes, High End. It costed somewhere in the ballpark of $200 for the whole tool-set, but it opened up so many more options than the normal WordPress template options. It took some work, but if you want to skip the work of setting it up yourself, they also offer a paid design option too.
