So with a little downtime this Thanksgiving, I decided to finally download Worldographer II from the kickstarter campaign I supported a while back. At the same time, I decided to redraw and recreate my campaign’s world map to test it out, especially now that Worldographer II will allow child-maps so I won’t have to work as hard to keep multiple maps coordinated.
The new mapping program has many features that the first was missing, including an option for a larger “brush” (although it has a bit of delay before it fully shows how much you painted), child maps that allow you to zoom in and micro-modify a sub-area of the map at a closer scale, has a whole host of new hex icons (I’m using the flatter isometric style here), new random generation features, and I’m sure there is more I’ve yet to discover.
And with a handy Map to Globe I made a spinning map GIF!
